Global Marketing Manager - Continence Care/Bladder Management

In this newly created position, the manager will be responsible for identifying and executing strategies to grows incontinence and urine collection device sales and profit globally. This position will interact regularly with the Top 10 business units who commercialize these products to ensure alignment of global and local strategy. Additionally, this position will provide internal direction to Global Marketing Communications, R&D and Manufacturing regarding product features/benefits, positioning/promotion, price, and channel strategy.

RESPONSIBILTIES:

The successful candidate will be accountable for growing the incontinence (MEC) and urine collection portfolio sales and profit in accordance with the r strategic plan. Initial focus will center primarily on product managing globally the male external and urine collection line, including acting as the primary liaison to the country business units of changes or enhancements and evaluating geographical expansion opportunities. Candidate will oversee the successful launch (country training, forecast tracking, sales support, supply monitoring) of new products in these product areas and developing and executing marketing strategies to ensure long-term success of the product line. An ongoing percentage of time will be dedicated to identifying potential new ideas or product changes required in the portfolio and leading these changes through internal new product development processes.

Develop global market and product strategies for the incontinence and urine collection product categories based on needs analyses, competitive evaluations, corporate requirements, divisional business plans and financial evaluations. Understand product line profitability; work closely with operations and sales to drive cost/price initiatives to maximize profitability. Coordinate plans with local business units.

Develop and implement strategic marketing plans to address product/brand positioning, competitive selling strategies, pricing, advertising, packaging, new product introduction plans and product discontinuation planning. Provide direction to the Global Marketing Communication function in the development of communication and promotional material.

Provide leadership to the consistent implementation of these strategies globally. Strategies must be appropriate and implementable at regional and local levels. Work closely with the Divisional executives, Region and Country Managers to ensure that strategy formulation and implementation proceeds smoothly. Work closely with divisional marketing Managers to ensure appropriate information gathering and analysis.

Lead the execution, monitoring and management of new product in the incontinence and urine collection areas. Specifically, communicate regularly with the launch countries to ensure alignment of positioning, targeting and price. Ensure countries are equipped with the sales launch package. Attend and deliver (if requested) product training. Lead regular calls with launch countries and manufacturing in the early months to ensure smooth supply and best practice sharing across markets.

Monitor on an ongoing basis sales performance and local marketing and selling best practices, to assure global program implementation, evaluate effectiveness of new product launches, and improve performance world wide by sharing best practices.

Support sales training as appropriate; ensure that the sales associates are appropriately trained in these product areas.
QUALIFICATIONS:

Academic/Credentials/Certifications -
Bachelors degree in a business, healthcare, or technical discipline required; MBA highly desired

Length of experience -
7-10+ years of overall business experience, with at least 3 years of marketing and/or consulting in the healthcare arena (pharmaceutical, medical device, or health services). International marketing experience highly desired.

Specialized skills/technical knowledge -
Experience in developing innovative strategies for and driving the execution of strong top-line product sales growth. Demonstrated quantitative analysis skills. Strong verbal and written communication skills. Self-starter. Strong cross-functional relationship management skills. Proven track record of delivering results in matrix global environment. Experienced in Powerpoint and Excel.
