Position Summary:
The Technical Accounting Manager shall be responsible for providing technical accounting support on various transactions, maintaining the Corporate Accounting Policies, and implementing new accounting standards.  The ideal candidate must have a strong technical accounting background, be comfortable with navigating through ambiguity, have outstanding communication and writing skills, be attentive to details, and be able to prioritize and manage multiple tasks simultaneously in a dynamic high performance environment. The candidate will develop strong working relationships across the organization with various levels of management.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
-Review contracts, research, evaluate and draft technical Position Papers addressing the accounting implications for various transactions, significant contracts, and financing arrangements, as well as drafting APS Forms for general corporate accounting matters.  Provide prompt assistance/real-time feedback to internal customers from Commercial Development, Corporate Development/Strategy, Facilities, Fixed Assets/Capital Deployment, Treasury, Operations, and Brands.
-Collaborate with other departments in order to implement the new accounting standards, including assessing the reporting implications and ensuring the availability or requisite information for financial reporting
-Provide pre-execution structuring and accounting advice on draft contracts, recommending changes as needed
-Maintain and update the Corporate Accounting Policies
-Monitor new accounting pronouncements, draft disclosures of recently issued accounting pronouncements and assist with the preparation of SEC filings (10-K’s and 10-Q’s)
-Lead discussions of technical accounting matters with external auditors, internal audit, and the accounting team 
-Host Quarterly Technical Accounting Update, including developing content and presenting to a 30+ person cross functional audience
-Lead Commercial Development Quarterly Meeting, including preparation of agenda and monitoring progress
-Lead or participate in ad-hoc special projects, as needed 
-Coach and develop junior staff

Financial Responsibilities
-Ensure Compliance with GAAP
-Evaluate transaction impacts for Return on Invested Capital (ROIC), EPS, and other Company Metrics

-Minimum 10 years of experience required, including Public and SEC accounting experience with BIG 4/National Public Accounting Firm
-Certified Public Accountant (C.P.A.) in Active and Good Standing
-Undergraduate Business Degree in Accounting.  Advanced educational degrees will be considered a plus
-Comprehensive working knowledge of U.S. GAAP and SEC requirements, including implementation of new accounting standards and updates to Accounting Policies
-Knowledge of Sarbanes-Oxley / internal control narratives
-Strong computer skills including Word, Powerpoint, and Excel
-Outstanding oral and written communication skills – including developing presentations for various levels of management
-Ability to manage multiple responsibilities within tight timelines
-Pursue a “Roll-up the sleeves” collaborative attitude in order to accomplish all necessary tasks

Knowledge and Skills:
-Strong analytic and communication skills (both written and verbal) with experience in presenting ideas/concepts to all levels of management
-Experience in performing technical accounting research and presenting findings to management
-Experience in resolving technical accounting issues
