Job Description:
Global company seeking talented and innovative sales consultant with excellent people skills, required to manage the interface between our team and our customers, represent our company professionally, articulate specialty product value, and contribute to our business growth with direct and indirect customers. Responsible for aggressively defending and rapidly expanding the Eastern Canada, Michigan and Indiana geographic region. Required 5-10 years experience in the chemical industry. Candidate travel expected 50-60% of the time in North America during work week. Request candidate reside in the Spartanburg or Greenville South Carolina market area.
Essential Functions:
Know the people, processes and business of each of your assigned accounts. Represent what is best for clients and the company represented.
Lead efforts to sell more of our existing products at acceptable profit levels. Communicate your plans, progress, and results to our business team via call reports and meetings.
Identify and qualify significant business opportunities. Develop new sources of profitable revenue growth. Drive new products through qualification and closure of the business. Then maintain and expand the business at the new account.
Enhanced technologies following a brief month long training in on site labs
Take new technologies to market where you will be tasked to understand the value of the new technology and establish a new business.
Value add sales responsibilities tied to business growth
Scope of Decisions:
Decisions require tactical expertise, discretion and judgment as bound by policy and procedure or past practice.
Must work independently and prioritize multiple competing objectives often with other project managers.
Education/Experience:
A minimum of a B.S. in Chemical Engineering, Chemistry, or similar technical degree. (3.0+ G.P.A)
Five (5) to (10) years of experience in the chemical industry.
Communication Skills:
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Must possess a professional, reassuring demeanor when addressing problems or issues.
Excellent skills with customers, associates, internal administration and peers.
