National Account Manager – Minneapolis/Mid-West Territory
Job Description:
Position is responsible for managing and driving sales at existing main accounts Best Buy, Target, and Meijer within the Consumer Electronics Industry, specifically in the Video Gaming Accessory and Collectables categories for retail and/or distribution arena.  The position demands development and execution of sales strategies within assigned accounts to ensure that company goals for revenue projection and profitability at met.  The job will require both strong selling and analytical skills.   
Job Responsibilities:
  • Generate increased revenue through current, revised, or new product placement while ensuring profitability for PDP
  • Monitor market conditions, product innovations, competitors’ products, prices and sales at the account level and in the overall industry
  • Maintain consistent communication with accounts to provide ongoing support and deliver solutions as it relates to sales and service
    • Monitor in stocks while managing to ideal weeks on hand or in-stock percentages
    • Collaborative forecasting evaluating weekly POS, promotional activity, seasonality, competitive changes, etc.
  • Product knowledge proficiency
    • portfolio – solid working understanding of product features, functions, and benefits
    • Competitive landscape in first and third party
    • Understanding of the features of competitive placements and how our portfolio compares
  • Ability to strategize for Line Reviews utilizing analytics and full account rationalization
    • Leverage retail and industry data including hardware trends, analytic reports, NPD, and Nielsen to determine positive and/or negative impact at the account level
    • Provide account product gap and recommendations with justification
  • Collaboratively work internally and externally to leverage seasonal opportunities – Pallet, FSDU, Sidekicks, Trays, and other off-shelf
 
Job Requirements:
  1. Bachelor’s degree in Business Management, Marketing
  2. Minimum of 5+ years of sales experience
  3. PowerPoint and Excel proficient – generate formula based spreadsheets (advanced but not expert proficiency required)
  4. Ability to handle multiple projects and tasks
  5. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
 
Travel Requirements: 
Main accounts are in territory and travel to other accounts at least 1-2 per year.  Industry trade show and/or company meetings 2-3 times per year.
