Position Summary


The Product Marketing Manager is responsible for brand management of SEA's LCD/LED TV category. The candidate for this position must possess a strong understanding of the TV business and the retail landscape. The candidate will use this knowledge to drive data analysis, sales planning, demand forecasting, marketing programs and pricing, and the corresponding attainment of the assigned sales goals, profit goals and the various brand and market share objectives


Common Essential Duties & Resp.


* Report to Marketing Director to support key Samsung brand LCD/LED TV goals for:
o Sales
o Profit
o Market Share
o Price Positioning (API)
o Forecast accuracy
o Aged inventory

* Contribute to weekly unit forecasts (AP2) based on analysis of channel inventory, sell-through history, future promotions, competitive activity, and seasonality by model and by key account.

* Conducts comprehensive industry trend analysis, as well as detailed competitive feature and pricing trends

* Support the Director and Senior Marketing Manager with various analysis and project work.

* Prepare cost estimates for variety of promotional vehicles, and evaluate relative ROIs.

* Coordinate new model launch plans, ensuring smooth transition and fast ramp-up for new LCD/LED TV models each year.

* Support national marketing efforts through interaction with regional and district sales managers and key accounts

* Prepare sales and marketing presentations

* Work closely with Sales Operations staff, assisting in weekly sales forecast and product allocations

* Work closely with Marcomm group to direct creation of ATL/BTL LCD/LED TV materials, collateral sales support materials, training materials, and online assets.


Necessary Skills / Attributes


* Bachelor's degree; MBA degree or technology/engineering acumen a plus
* 3+ years of experience in consumer product marketing (consumer electronics experience a plus)
* Demonstrable knowledge of retail distribution channels
* Solid negotiation, leadership and professional presentation skills
* Strong Microsoft Office skills (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook)
